LIGHTPICK
Pick To Light Order Picking Technology
A Pick to Light System helps teams sort and pick items quickly and accurately by guiding operators with light-directed instructions.
Instead of manually checking paperwork or scanning repeatedly, when an order is released, the system lights up the exact location and shows the quantity of items to pick. The operator simply follows the light, pick the item, and confirms the action.
Pick to Light is ideal for e-commerce fulfillment, retail distribution, kitting operations, and returns processing where multiple orders are being handled at the same time and accuracy is critical.

Double Your Picking Efficiency,
Reduce Picking Error.
Faster Order Picking
95% Less Error
Pick to Light improves both speed and accuracy by turning picking instructions into clear visual guide. When a SKU is scanned or an order is released, the system instantly lights up the correct locations for that item and displays the quantity to pick. Operators no longer need to read lists, check screens, or search for the right order. They can simply follow the light instructions.
Multiple orders can be handled simultaneously because each location has its own light and confirmation button. This allows operators to handle items for several orders in a single pass, reducing time per order and eliminating errors especially during peak periods.
Easily Scalable
And System-Integration
Pick to Light connects easily to your existing warehouse management system (WMS) or ERP. All that is required to run LightPick is access to the order management system via an API and power. It can be mounted directly onto shelving, pick walls, or consolidation zones to fit your current workflow. As your business grows, additional light modules and pick locations can be added without redesigning your operation.
The system records each pick in real time, keeping inventory accurate and order progress visible at all times. By integrating seamlessly with your existing processes, Pick to Light enhances efficiency without disrupting your current operations.
Return on Investment
In Just 1-2 Years
With numbers to back it up, Pick to Light delivers measurable ROI by increasing throughput, reducing picking errors, and lowering labor costs. Faster, more accurate picking means fewer reships and returns, less training time for new staff, and more orders processed per shift.

System Architecture
Overview
LightPick operates on a simple, flexible system architecture.
Your WMS or ERP sends order data to the LightPick server, which extracts only the information required for picking and passes it to the control box.
The control box queues the data and activates the pick blocks at each shelf location, displaying the exact quantity to pick. When the operator confirms the pick, the acknowledgment is sent back through the control box to update inventory in real time. Because communication runs through a standard TCP/IP interface with internal data processing, the system remains fast, stable, and easy to expand if shelving layouts change or additional pick lines are added.

FAQ
What is the LightPick system?
LightPick is a light-based picking system designed to improve warehouse picking speed and accuracy. Instead of using paper pick lists or handheld screens, LightPick communicates order information directly from your warehouse management system (WMS) to illuminated pick stations.
Each shelf location is equipped with a light module that tells the operator exactly where to pick and how many units to remove. This eliminates time waste and streamlines the entire picking process.
How does LightPick work in a warehouse picking environment?
The system works in four simple steps. First, a picking session is activated through a barcode scan, a physical button, or automatically through your WMS. Next, stack tower lights indicate the correct aisle, and illuminated pick blocks highlight the exact shelf position and quantity required.
The operator completes the pick and presses the acknowledgment button. The inventory update is instantly sent back to the WMS, and the next pick location lights up automatically.
Because the system uses visual cues instead of paper instructions, operators move faster and make fewer errors.
What are pick blocks and what do they do?
Pick blocks are the core components of the LightPick system. Each pick block corresponds to a specific shelf location and includes a highly visible light, a quantity display, and an acknowledgment button.
When activated, the pick block shows where to and how many units to pick. Once the operator confirms the pick, the system immediately updates the inventory in real time. Some models also include function keys that allow operators to adjust quantities in case of stock shortages or order corrections.
Can LightPick handle multiple orders at the same time?
Yes. LightPick supports multi-order picking using over seven unique light colors. This allows multiple orders to be picked simultaneously without confusion.
Each color can represent a different order or batch, enabling parallel picking and significantly increasing throughput. This is especially valuable in high-volume e-commerce or distribution environments.
How does LightPick integrate with my existing WMS or ERP system?
LightPick connects to your order management system through a simple API connection and power supply, no complex infrastructure required.
The system uses a standard TCP/IP socket interface with two communication channels. One channel handles pick activation and display instructions, while the second channel manages confirmations, corrections, and status updates.
The controller processes and queues all pick data internally, minimizing system load and ensuring fast, reliable communication between LightPick and your WMS.
What components are included in a LightPick system?
The LightPick system consists of four primary components:
- A controller that communicates with your WMS
- Pick blocks with displays and acknowledgment buttons
- Mounting rails with integrated power
- Communication BUS Cabling between the rails and controller
Optional accessories include stack tower lights, barcode scanners, RFID readers, WiFi controllers, and integration with mobile shelving systems.
Is LightPick difficult to install?
No. LightPick is designed for quick assembly and straightforward installation. Pick blocks mount directly onto integrated rails that contain internal power and communication bars.
Once attached to the shelving and connected to the controller, the system operates as a plug-and-start solution. This reduces installation time and minimizes disruption to your operation.
Who handles the installation?
We don’t just sell the system—we install it too. Our in-house installation crew ensures everything is set up safely, correctly, and ready to use. You won’t need to coordinate with outside contractors.
